What can we say...Ned's "The Champ". 1990 UCI World Champion, 6-time NORBA National Champion, and at age 70, still competitive. Ned is a renaissance man who somehow balances training, family, and duties with Specialized and Bouré. He promotes Bouré Bicycle Clothing by using our clothing for his racing and training, and we use that experience to help develop and refine our clothing to insure that it performs flawlessly for you.
Drew started the company in 1988 and has designed all of our clothing. He designs, cuts and sews the fabric, takes care of the office and customer service, and makes sure the checkbook balances. He loves what we do, rides his bike to the post office most everyday, and wants our clothing to be the best in the world. Drew once did some bike and Nordic ski racing, and still makes a valiant effort to stay in shape.
Bouré Bicycle Clothing was started in 1988 by Drew Bourey in Tucson, Arizona. Our first shop was downtown on Congress Street, in back of Wheeler Bikes. Drew was racing bicycles at the time and were looking for a way to make a living in the sport he enjoyed. We moved the business to Durango in June of 1989 and set up shop in a small, windowless loft. Here we complimented our love of road riding with mountain biking, Nordic skiing, and trail running. In 1992 Ned Overend became a partner in Bouré Bicycle Clothing. His involvement gave us a recognizable name and a world class product tester. In 1995, we moved into a larger location, with windows. Here, Ned and Drew discuss design features in the cutting department. We were at 98 Everett Street until 2024. In 2024, we built a home based workshop, where we continue to this day.
